More than a piece of paper!
Some TAFE SA programs issue students with a certificate for the successful demonstration of Employability Skills through the comprehensive LINKup 'Validated Self Assessment' process. Anyone holding a LINKup Certificate has proven that they:
- have performed the skills stated
- understand these skills
- understand the importance of these skills (at work and in life)
They should be able to convincingly explain to you how they demonstrated and assessed these skills and back this up with a comprehensive portfolio of evidence.
Employers
When you see a LINKup Certificate, or any other Employability Skills certificate … ask the holder for an explanation!
It's your way of guaranteeing the effectiveness of the training and assessment of these life skills and convincing yourself of the capability and 'work-readiness' of the applicant.
